You really Wowed me! First with the "flower" and then with the table runner. You are extremely talented. I subscribed to your blog in hopes to see future quilt work. Suzanne
I made this one; no pattern. I cut templates for the stars out of some recycled cardboard. They were sewn first, the button centers added and then they were appliqued to the background. Then a layer of quilt batting was placed between the background fabric and a contrasting fabric for the backside. The runner was then quilted on a machine following the outlines of the stars. Finally the border was tacked on and sewn - I think I did that by hand. I hope that helps! I'd love to see what you come up with!
Hello!
Welcome to this little spot for puttering in the kitchen, keeping an eye on the garden, and sometimes just thinking out loud.
So glad you're here!

You're too sweet! Thank you so much for the kind words - I hope I'll have plenty more hand-made treats to share; it's good to keep one's hands busy...
I just love this! Did you make up the pattern or did you purchase it? I would love to try my hand at this, it is just lovely!!
Hi Mama Spark -
