I just love this! Did you make up the pattern or did you purchase it? I would love to try my hand at this, it is just lovely!!

Hi Mama Spark -

I made this one; no pattern. I cut templates for the stars out of some recycled cardboard. They were sewn first, the button centers added and then they were appliqued to the background. Then a layer of quilt batting was placed between the background fabric and a contrasting fabric for the backside. The runner was then quilted on a machine following the outlines of the stars. Finally the border was tacked on and sewn - I think I did that by hand. I hope that helps! I'd love to see what you come up with!
